Is that a NEW baby bump?

It’s summer here in Brisbane. The dominant life form in our part of the Galaxy is hoping we will turn the AC on. She will then plonk herself under it until she feels too cold.

I used to have a cat who sat on the floor vents when the heat came on.

Scooter sits in front of the fireplace and just stares at it until we flip the switch. He puts his nose right up on the glass.

Misty and Buckwheat would sit in front of it until we had to pull them away because their fur would get so hot we worried about them.

In my first decade, I would sneak to the vent in the middle of the night to steal the heat.

All my cats sit in front of the heater vents waiting for the furnace to turn on. My husband actually turns the heat on for his favorite cat.

Yesterday comic seemed to be brand new in style, story, a new cat…..now back to another rerun?

@ viet: if you go to the BCN website (www.breakingcatnews.com) you’ll see a long comment from Georgia explaining what’s up. The new one yesterday was to show the style, and Puck’s correct coloring. In December, there will be a story-arc of “Our IX Lives”—but the regular new daily strips won’t start until end of March/beginning of April, when BCN starts in newspapers.

also to viet: Burt isn’t a new cat; he just hasn’t yet appeared in the reruns yet. There are several ‘new’ regular cast members who haven’t yet shown in the reruns. Look closely at the last panel of yesterday’s strip—you’ll see two of the four Robber Mice.

Cats presumably think our enthusiasm for suntans is absurd. IR is so superior to UV!

One of the cats I have now removed the floor vent cover as a kitten and disappeared into the vent. Fortunately I had a basement and she talks a lot and was able to retrieve her from the ceiling vent in the basement. This is no longer a problem now however. She is of a size that she wouldn’t fit through the return vent if it were open. I call her my furry basketball now.

My two kitties search out the spots in the bathrooms that are right under the ceiling heating vent – one on the counter and the other on the toilet.

Oh no – don’t go down the vent!!

Thanks DENNY, I haven’t yet looked into any explanations, but I assumed there was some.

Bella and Sugar love to completely cover the vents. While Sweetheart sits on the vent. Tigger doesn’t like the vents he (being our only guy) prefers the window and the sun.

I love that Georgia included the dust that’s always under those floor vents.
