Frazz is about to teach Caulfield a valuable lesson. When the principal sees the two of them standing by the spigot after he gets soaked, Frazz will say that he was trying to stop Caulfield, but was too late. Caulfield will be left hanging in the breeze which will be soon be turning crisp and will lead to his flat out fall.

I do not like pranks by anyone. Save them for war to use to confuse an harass the “enemy”.

bigpumaAnd you do not appreciate the role of Schadenfreude in slapstick comedy? Surely, I think you must have pointed out this is a comic strip sometime in the past. Almost all the regular have at least once. And I will call you Shirley if you deserve it.

And sometimes words can be rescued from oblivion. Such as Garson Kainen’s line, “You know what your problem is? You’ve got no couth!”, from Born Yesterday.
