“Magnet Schools” is a new one on me. Never heard the term in Canada, must be only American. Looked it up, it’s nothing new, been around since the 70’s.

Actually the rounded portion of a horseshoe magnet doesn’t attract anything, only the N and S poles on the two ends do.
