The politicians can get away with beating this one to death. This was a win by the NYPD and a lose for lone-wolf wack jobs who claim terrorism at the last minute.

Good detective work or not, what the woman depicted in the ’toon says is absolutely true.

As usual the media is beating it to death. The spend endless hour interviewing each other when they know next to nothing. I guess they like to talk to each other. It does screw up my TV entertainment though. It always takes a couple of days for the meaningful background info to come out.

Can’t Christie protect his own state from terrorism?

Its not just the politicians, it is also the press that beats everything to death as usual….

Just think how good it would have been to have caught Dylan Roof, or Mr. Dear in Colorado Springs before THEY went on killing sprees. Radicals aren’t noted for acting intelligently, or rationally.

On catching all terrorist intentioned folks btw; when we stop ALL DUII folks before they get into their cars, or can drive off, nice world, but not the real one. (Just think of the privacy invading surveillance that could accomplish either of those acts. Think Gulag.)

Not reported today was the attacks that didn’t occur. Maybe I am exceptionally naïve, but I think that it would be relatively easy to build a bomb and detonate it or drive a van full of explosives into a crowd. If we had the tens of thousands of terrorists that the alarmists say we have, then why isn’t this happening every day?

dflakGenerals tend to prepare to fight the previous war. Maginot was thinking of the meat grinder trench warfare around Verdun, not the mobility of tanks and aircraft. An end run through Belgium made it useless, once their one Maginot-style fort was destroyed by airborne troops.
