I am worried what he will do next. He is a mental case. There doesn’t seem to be anything that he won’t try to do. I think he could hold a rally and shoot someone on stage and his supporters would cheer him on. Clearly he would be a disaster of a president and we would all end much worse off if he wins.
The depths he seems to want to go to defend his honour should scare everyone. Diplomacy does not seem to be one of Mr Trumps strengths and the consequences of his actions could be very severe.
I love it when a candidate starts the slide (“I’m for change, too!”), and tries to double-down with a losing strategy. His worked well for the 30% Repubs, but it’s going to drive the other 70% away. (“Her husband groped, too!”)
I would not mind if Trump destroyed himself. But he wants to take the whole country down with him. Like all crazy right wing extremists who have nothing but lies and selfishness.
Even if we just added that the candidates for federal office must be adult mentally, as well as, having just citizenship and chronological age requirements, we’d have better election choices!!
I’m impressed that you are taking the time to comment and answer people. This seems unheard of. I have followed Trudeau since I was a tot and would be shocked if he ever appeared as a commenter!
Personally, I am a Democrat. But, I do believe in the 2 party system and I would be thrilled to see a decent moderate republican in this current crazy world of the GOP. I didn’t want to see trump as their nominee, however flawed. A republican always has a chance to win, so please, give us your best, is what I say.
The scariest thing is that trump will probably still win 15-20 states. When the dems nominated McGovern and Dukakis, they were not disgusting, racist, sexist, horrible people and they only won 1-2 states. Those 2 dems just had a flawed campaign management, so that was the best they could do.
Here’s an exchange in the immediate past thread between “jcuppy” and myself./ jcu: “It’s a pattern for Democrats to savage a opponent this way, if Jesus Christ were running they’d crucify him with lies again.”/ me: “I am not a Democrat. Further, your holier-than-thou Republicans are certainly not without sin in this department. And since when did Jesus appoint you as his spokesman? Let’s give it up for “jcuppy”—aka, jesuschristuppy. Hallelujah!”/ jcu: “When I implanted my seed in Mary.”/ me: “So, you’re a deluded Jesus freak who is now impersonating him in order to take credit for knocking up Mary. Wow. Your psychosis runs deep.”
Steve when you see Mi-Ai Parrish tell her great job. I lived in Phoenix for a year back in the 90s and always read your paper. I saw this and felt moved by her honest words.
Every now and again I hear somebody who’s fed up with the current system defend Trump’s candidacy by asking “Why not? What’s the worst that can happen?” I realize it’s a rhetorical question, not intended seriously, but let me give you a serious answer to it: Big. Red. Button! [insert sound effect here]

QUESTiON:…..My computer will not allow for paragraphing so, as a result, I produce these gawd-awful walls of text.…..In the past here, I could separate the text into graphs with a one-line space in-between by placing a singl period on the that line where I wanted to create a new text-separating graph……That trick doesn’t work anymore and sentences now simply pile up behind the sentences in front of them. …..Suggestions from computer techies amongst us?…..Thanks.

SteveNice to hear from you.I like to assume NPP is a computer program, it’s too scary to think NPP is a person that really thinks like that.

Well said. The semantic content of NPP’s posts appears to be very low.

There is a book with most chapters devoted to Trump: the DSM.
