In the case of Syrian refugees, there wouldn’t be so many if the US had not gotten involved there six years ago.

The analogy is insensitive but also stupid. We make risk assessments all the time, though we often aren’t very good at it. Every time you drive to work there is a chance that you will be in a fatal accident, but you don’t stay home. Canada is welcoming many tens of thousands of Syrian refugees, and I don’t feel in danger as I walk down the street in Toronto.

Amazing how all of you jesus loving, family values, constitution squeezing American Patriots can toss it all at the drop of a hat. Oh! I forgot – a black man became President of the United States.History books, the Constitution and the Old and New testament ( also the Space Aliens dropped updates to the Scientologists, Mormons, and other $ worshipers) were rewritten at that moment.If there is a god I sure hope she’s old testament.

This is what liberty is. This is what freedom and justice is. This is what our country stands for. Let them in, welcome them. Teach them and learn from them. Help each other and make someone’s day better. Pursue your own happiness, and help or get out of the way of other’s happiness. Welcome to America, don’t mind the loonies.
