Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
OK, thatās funnyā¦you may not get Pibgorn-esque levels of comment traffic, but this is one of the cleverest (and occasionally most daringāBVM, anyone?) strips on GoComics.
Iād like to second J2P2ās comment. Of course I read Pibgorn but don;t comment, and I am commenting now, so maybe thereās some eternal balance involved. Her Maj is wonderful.
Self-mockery is the finest form of self-flattery.
Then thereās self-indulgenceā¦
I often wonder - as a fairly new comic on Sherpa (9 months or so), and having just recently broken the 125 subscriber barrier (woo-hoo)ā¦ what if all those readers commented daily? I average like 8 comments per day. I like the commentsā¦ theyāre entertaining and mostly positive. However, I strive for readership. I make Mad Mouse as visually interesting as possible each day for just that reason. To have someone type in, āNice workā is just a little extra gravy.
I read many comics, but comment myself on just a few. I donāt know why that is. Some just seem to warrant a little response. As far as Pibgornā¦ I read it, but have no freaking idea what to say. Here, I like to comment. Pab,
good work and thanks for letting me pipe in. BUTā¦ you never emailed me back in regards to my book publishing questions - and Iām almost ready! Can you still help?
madbristowart: I averaged around 125 subscribers during most of my time on Sherpa. When I moved here I had 220 subscribers. A week after I first appeared at Chicago Comic-Con, I tripled that. Once you get some promotion under your belt, you can grow fast.
Iām sorry I havenāt had a chance to reply to you. I have a draft sitting in my outbox almost ready to go, and will finish it tonight.
They cancel the TV shows that I like because no one watches.
They quit selling the food I that like because no one buys it.
I love the ātoons that no one reads, hope I donāt jinx ya Pab.
ChukLitlā¦ I love that point you made. So true. They - meaning the boneheads counting the money - get rid of all the good stuff because the sheep donāt line up. Have you ever tried being a sheep? Itās so freaking hot!!
P.S. If you do hold jinxing powersā¦ feel free to look at Mad Mouse on the Sherpa dingy.

I shouldnāt have taken that right turn at Albuquerque. Maybe the lady with the funny hat can tell me how to get to Calvin and Hobbes?

I may mock my supposed lack of readers, but itās just self-mockery.
Subscribers as of noon, today:
TNAOQV: 14,101 In The Sticks: 2,445
On the other hand, though:
Calvin and Hobbes: 92,514
So itās not entirely untruthful.

Iām Nobody! Who Are You? Emily Dickinson
Iām nobody! Who are you? Are you nobody, too? Then thereās a pair of us ā donāt tell! Theyād banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody! How public, like a frog To tell your name the livelong day To an admiring bog!
