Transcript:
Phoebe: This is the first time I've worn this hoodie in months. I still haven't checked the pockets. Marigold: Why not? Phoebe: I'm saying it! You never know what could be in there. Could be a gift from the past! Let's see what I got myself. A...wad of what used to be paper. Marigold: Do you think your parents washed your garment? Phoebe: Ye--no. This is my lucky paper wad.

Un-crumple it. See if it has some sort of prediction.

I never thought of artifacts as being imbued with some kind of invisible something that makes them different from any other wad of paper. It just didn’t compute with me.
And anyway mom will be sure to check any pockets before washing.

I once found ten dollars in one of my pockets. It was humid, but at least it was still useful. Anyway, love the scenery in the first panel.

LUCKIEST WAD

I do the same thing Phoebe; deliberately leave things in the pockets of my hoodie to both rediscover later…and to see how long I can go with those things in the pocket (for example, I believe I still have in my current hoodie’s pocket a ticket to a theme park from back in jr. high, roughly about thirteen or so years ago).

Not so very lucky for the paper, though.
