Nancy was not the first “First Lady” to hide her husband’s condition and take control of things for him. There is actually a long list starting with Mary Todd Lincoln :). Not really but there are others.

No, not everything was her fault — she was just doing what her astrologer told her to do.

I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again so long as this arc lasts. This strip is in abominable bad taste. I’m nobody’s idea of a Reagan fan, but resurrecting strips that satirize the way the man died is sick. There’s no excuse for inflicting pain on his family this way. Shame on you, Garry Trudeau!

This situation happens in alot of marriages. Worry when the controller is an idiot….like say a plagiarist of speeches from an opposing party’s National Convention, for example…just saying. Imagine that cookie running things.

In retrospect, it seems a bit tacky to republish this particular sequence in view of Regan’s dementia at the end of his life.
