She can’t cure anything for a nickel, and with that second question you’ve got her worried she’ll prove what a greedy fraud she really is.

Lucy should charge a dime for that kind of loneliness.

I think you need a whole quarter for that Charlie Brown. Though I suggest you find someone other than Lucy for help. Even Peppermint Patty would make a better psychiatrist than her.

I strongly empathise with Chuck today. I’d pay a dollar. Even a 1969 dollar.

Dr. Van Pelt would fit right in with the modern medical profession.

I was going to say, that to cure anything that deep, it would cost more. maybe a whole quarter! CB has very deep issues.

How much is that nickel today allowing for inflation. Yet if you had saved that nickel in a piggy bank it’s face value would be five cents.

If that nickel had been left with my investment counselors for all these years, it would now be worth 3 and a half cents. So, leave your nickels in your piggy bank.

A few years ago, i was walking downtown with a friend who was a chronic nihilist, (but didn’t know he was..)

while he was bemoaning the what’s-the-use of his lot, we passing by a Walgreen’s.

I said to him, “Let me get something here” and bought a Hershey’s.

I then gave it to him., he asked what’s this for?

I replied, " It always makes me feel better.."

He stared at me for a moment, then burst out laughing !

I then said, “See, it’s working even before you take it..!”
