When the Wizard of Oz movie was made, the producers went into a thrift shop to find an appropriate coat for the wizard. They found the perfect coat and the wizard was filmed wearing it. The owner’s name was written on a slip of paper in one of the pockets. The owner was L. Frank Baum, the writer of the Wizard of Oz books!
