I’m not the “South Park” kind of person (even if there is an episode about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; references to that song get annoying every time I see the lyrics typed up by someone else who has seen said episode). “Family Guy”, on the other hand, I’m partial to it.

I’ve nothing against South Park, I think Trey and Matt are quite smart, it’s just shown at an awkward time where I am so I don’t get to see it. I used to be a fan of Family Guy and got the DvDs for a few years but I swore off it when it became endless Christianity bashing ( though I enjoy the Brian and Stewie road episodes). I love American Dad though.

I love most South Park episodes and found the first couple of seasons of Family Guy to be pretty hilarious. But it’s rare for me to enjoy FG from the fourth season or so and beyond; when I do occasionally succumb to watching it, I typically find it to be almost unwatchable. Two of the Star Wars episodes were hilarious, but the rest? Oy! So incredibly stale – I don’t know if it’s because they’re trying too hard or not hard enough (or some weird combination of the two). American Dad was still pretty decent the last time I saw it, though. (Archer, of course, easily tops them all.)

The issue is the content of the show. They’re not appropriate for kids. When I ran a Cub Scout pack I was surprised to find that some of the 6 y.o. boys were fans of SP and wondered if the parents knew what was on the show.

I got all 19 seasons of South Park and I’m binge watching. The satire is fantastic. They even lampoon themselves.

My mother did the same thing when she found me watching Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

Can’t bear to watch either of them. Maybe it’s an age thing. I’m 73.

You’re better off not seeing all that mindless drivel, Jason.

Common scene – the older kids have to wait until ALL the kids are deemed old enough for any particular content/activities.

South Park is to satire what McDonald’s is to cuisine.

Still, I was staying up much later than that by age 10. Maybe it’s a coastal thing.

I don’t mind South Park, but suspect I would if I understood anything their little chipmunky voices were saying!

Unless you catch them on cable they are redubbed for more sensitive ears.

What the deuce? How dare she?

Personally, Family Guy is my second favorite TV show, with only The Simpsons ahead of it.
