Even the ancient Greeks had the story about the man who was granted a very long, long life. He kept shrinking and his skin wrinkling, and he was looking a lot like a grasshopper …
I would have thought it was an old wives tale too, except I have doctors records to prove my shrinkage – from 5’6.5 at age 22 to 5’43/4 at 71. With my short arms I really miss those inches in reaching for that top cupboard!
Can’t suggest anything for a few more inches, but am reminded of an old Charleston number about “5’2, eyes of blue, oh what those five feet can do”. The Charleston is great aerobic exercise and could take care of the dumpy part.

My grandmother was under five feet when she died at age 97, down about four inches from her peak (according to my dad)

I heard that the average height of a 17 year old female is 5’4. I’m 21 and I’m a dumpy 5’2.
Sigh.
I would love to be a few inches taller at least.
