I somehow didn’t pay much attention on the sugar-free part - raisins were that struck me before reading the comments. I wondered whether Garfield really shares my antipathy towards raisins!
I think sugar-free cookies taste pretty much the same as regular, at least as long as you don’t eat them side-by-side. Also, I love raisins. (But then, I really, really love prunes, too….) Old-guy food, I guess. :|
This one’s funny. I don’t like raisins (except in my Mom’s stuffed cookies), and sugar-free isn’t as good as sugar, however, Gar is a little too mean to well-meaning Liz.

Sugar-free leaves a bad taste in Garfield’s mouth Liz.

Yeah Liz, I wanted chocolate chips, not raisins

Raisins rot the teeth Chocolate chips melt and provide needed energy for an active cat.

Not a good idea there, Liz. :P

making sugar free cookies with raisins is having a ‘dark side’. Garfield’s deep.
emmaregina about 14 years ago
That is what I would call a fake cookie.
davidenie about 14 years ago
Ever hear “Come over to the Dark Side. We have cookies!!!” THOSE are the cookies they offer!!!

Liz still doesn’t know Garfield after all these years!?
JanLC about 14 years ago
Liz, the secret is to say “Here, Garfield, I made cookies for you”. Stop there. Do not tell him what is or isn’t in them. He’ll never notice.

Uh-oh! Garfield minus Garfield here will show us Liz is just as bi-polar as John!

Never use “sugar,” “free” and “cookies” in the same phrase when around Garfield. Unless it is “free sugar cookies,” then we have something good there.
