    Thats why you should switch to a numerical system. In France you note from 0 to 20, 0 to 9 is fail but you have the possibility to grade the failure with exquisite precision.

    An essay math test? I suppose if you have a narrative math question, you could properly get an essay-formed answer, but I have never heard of it being done that way.

    Because 1-20 only need an icosohedron, while 1-100 requires two dice or a Zocchihedron and a very level surface. (Who, me? I’m not implying anything.)

    There are districts banning percentage grades because of the difficulty of a student to get enough points to raise a 0 up to a passing grade. It can put a student into a situation where he does not even see a reason to try, he has already flunked that quarter just because he missed one assignment.
