I remember feeling the slowness of Christmas Eve and way back then we never heard of homeless families, war, and such. Now that I know I totally agree with Lizzy, I wish all children could only have to worry about what Santa will bring instead of hunger, cold, war….etc. Merry Christmas to all and God Bless.
I remember being just like this, counting down the days til Christmas and how slowly Christmas Eve went, and all the magic of it. Memories are wonderful.
“This Christmas mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love, and then speak it again.”― Howard W. Hunter
Elizabeth lot of children feel as you and Michael. Then when you both are up and gifts are done seems Christmas time is over with.It was for my sister and I we did not receive much in Christmas gifts.

Nice thought, Elizabeth.

Indeed. Even though I’m long past the expectation and excitement of Christmas, the week before is still the longest week of the year.

Christmas is a sad day for me. It would have been my 61st wedding anniversary. But… Merry Christmas everyone.
