There’s a delicate balance between scholarship and sports. Poor Peppermint Patty just tipped the scale way too much to the latter.

Most of us didn’t understand school… many of us don’t understand life either. Just got to live with it!!!

My school would have been great except for the teachers and the other kids.

Patty is the right brained type apparently.

I suppose Miss Tenure came later.

It’s very simple Sir…school teaches you how to deal with a variety of jerks, authority figures who give you perplexing problems, and even so-called friends who give you annoying little nicknames like “Sir.”

Pretty rare for P. Patty to address her teacher by name.

I learned nothing in H.S. that I needed in the real world. Waste of time.

I’m with you on the math, Patty. You have to take it on faith. Sure, they tell me 1 + 1 = 2 but can you prove it?

I hear you, Pat. I could sleep through all my other subjects in HS and get A’s. But I could never get my brain around Math. Then they throw Algebra at me. “Oh, can’t handle number, try numbers and letters”. Then Calculus! “Hey, not just letters, but GREEK letters! How’s that?”

You just have to put Math into perspective. Show her how to use math to figure a batting average!

At least she’s honest.

I loved math – still do. Was an A + student all through school, including college.

Maths or “Math” was always my weakness. I done very well in English and was the only one who moved up to the Higher Class of English Literature.

I was far from a brainbox though. I’ve never been very clever.
