I believe that the truth of the situation is found in Herrweh’s and OldCoal’s statements. Comey was under intense scrutiny and pressure from the CON-man republicans to do something, ANYTHING even if it was wrong against Clinton because they “knew” she was guilty. And that is all that matters to the republicans, they want it so much so it must be true, truth be damned. So he was pressured by his own party to sell out his ethics, like republicans even have a fleeting knowledge of what ethics are. On the other hand Comey made his integrity well know when he editorialized the decision NOT to indict Clinton. It wasn’t enough to simply say there were no actionable findings, no indictable evidence he had to go forth and excoriate an innocent person and try her in the court of republican opinion. So in this case he was inclined to try and damage Clinton simply from his own personal agenda, bias and ideology but couple that with the intense hypocritical partisan pressure he was under from CONgress and you get “We don’t know anything yet, we haven’t got any proof, we don’t know if there’s any illegal activity to be discovered, but she’s implicated simply because he had emails from her on his laptop.” He knew what he was doing was wrong, clearly a violation of the Hatch Act. But like so much of Clinton’s actions in the past, what we “know” and what we can prove are two different things. Except in this case there is NO OTHER reason for the letter he sent other than ammunition against Clinton and an effort to sway the election. But don’t expect ANY negative action against Comey on behalf of the Hatch Act. It’s partisan politics as usual. Action against him by Democrats, purely legitimate, honest, legal and truthful action to uphold the law will be seen as partisan and the republicans will be lying about it for then next 4-8 years. And the republicans won&

There is no evidence of anything in Comey’s letter. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Why don’t they announce their inquiry into Trump’s Russian connections? Manafort took large sums of dirty money from Ukraine that likely originated in Russia. Trump may well owe large sums to the oligigarchs in Russia. These are the investigations would be way more important than the email nonsense. This email stuff has been stupid and materially inconsequential. The Kremlin connections really do deserve scrutiny. I want to know if Trump is in Putin’s pocket. We know the Russians want him to win. We know they hacked the Democratic Party computers. What more does the FBI need to really dig into this? But, no, they prefer to announce insubstantial nonsense in an effort to upset an election. I’m sure Putin would be thrilled to actually gets his puppet into the White House.

Though, on second thought, since Trump likes to stiff his creditors, the Russians may never get paid back. Trump doesn’t pay taxes, he doesn’t pay his contractors, and he doesn’t pay his debts. So maybe he’ll have the last laugh stiffing the Russian mafia. Do we we really want this sociopathic, narcissistic deadbeat as our President?

FBI director James Comey is a precious daffodil because he has helpfully decided to investigate more Clinton emails.

The FBI does not have a warrant for these emails so Comey has no idea what is in them. They are not TO or FROM Hillary Clinton. So far emails have been pretty bland – two HRC workers discussing why wealthy Christians tend to be Catholic instead of evangelical, and Hillary preparing speeches differently for different audiences which is Speech 101. Comey could be violating the Hatch Act and he is being partisan.

All emails were ordered turned over.

Instead, Hillary destroyed many of them.

All known emails were reviewed and the ordered report was given.

Now more emails have been discovered and that was reported as ordered.

    .

If Hillary had obeyed the law, he wouldn’t be finding hidden emails later. She would have handed them over long ago and there would be nothing on them you folks are so worried about the American people discovering.

    .

So, of course, you blame HIM. .

(By the way even with all her crimes, Hillary is still better than Trump, just bad,)

    Herrweh

So why hasn’t he warned us about Trump investigations? Or has he unilaterally decided rape and fraud are not crimes, but unknown material on someone else’s computer is?
