The car seats should be in the second row, not up front.

That is correct. It is illegal for a child under twelve to ride in the front seat of a passenger vehicle. However, the joke is certainly true about the back seats.

If I get in my truck and there’s a car seat in it, I know I am in the wrong truck.

Our two younger daughters are 50. I brought them home from the hospital in cardboard boxes! The nursery used boxes with the child’s name, weight, mum’s room, etc. as bassinettes. They slid them onto service carts at feeding times to bring the children to the rooms. When we left, they gave us the boxes, and we sat them on the back seat of the car.

    Tempus fugit, and all that.

A real plugger will be driving a old pickup with no back seat…

And if they are driving with car seats in, they won’t be in the front seat!
