I can’t stand the canned beans, soup and fake onion stuff. I make it with fresh beans, mornay sauce and slivered almonds. The family enjoys it and when I give the recipe, I inevitably hear the comment “Why go through so much work?”

I don’t understand what is so great about Green Bean Casserole. We have a potluck once a month and invariably someone brings it – I avoid it.
