I’ll make the same point that I made over on “Bacon”:
When Stephen Harper’s Conservatives won a majority of seats in Canada last time around, they did it with less than 35% of the popular vote. That means over 65% of Canadians felt disenfranchised (me included.) But we didn’t go out and smash things, call for a recount, or circulate petitions.
The process may be flawed, but it’s the best you’ve got. There are many more constructive ways you can work within the law and within the system to keep your voice. That will have greater effect in the long run than rampant civil disobedience.
