Let’s test that… Give you to Cliff. If he won’t eat you, then good news, you’re immortal, and bad news, not even Cliff wants you.

Pretty near any fruit cake is quite edible if sufficiently saturated with rum.

In Japanese folklore, objects that last at least one hundred years and have strong emotions expressed to them acquire their own spirit.

If Americans could learn to make a fruitcake like every other country in the world there would be no need for fruitcake horror jokes.

I once had the privilege of eating some of the “Christmas cake” made by a friend from Arkansas. Soaked in brandy and rum, aged for a month. Delicious! she refused to give me the recipe.

I like fruitcake. I made fruitcake muffins last night. I’m sending some to my nephew Steve in Minnesota and some to my fellow retiree Teri. There is also another retiree, Judy, who I will make some for.

The fruitcakes my cousin and her wife make don’t last that long. Some don’t even make it past Xmas breakfast.
