One small step on the road to Christmas cash….

One giant leap on the path to a life of crime…..

Until Grandma gets wind of it, anyhow.

Oh well…. two weeks of grounding and 17 loads of laundry to fold….

it beats an eventual 5 to 10 in Federal prison.

The only crime she might be committing is failure to collect sales tax. She’s a lot more ethical in her sales than makers of dietary supplements, who try oh-so-hard to convince you that their pills will cure diabetes, high blood pressure, whatever, only to include a quick (if spoken) or small (if printed) disclaimer as required by the FDA.

I am totally amazed she made one sale. But, then as they say, there’s a sucker born every minute.

The “allegedly” gives her legal cover.

    Easily Amused By This said,

“Agnes might be a brilliant marketer, but she’s a lousy negotiator.”

    .

    Why waste time negotiating?

The ditches are full of other butts to sell.

    .

(This reminds me how they used to sell pieces of the cross Christ was crucified on, the sum total big enough to build many entire houses, one splinter at a time.

    .

It seems loaves and fishes were not the only things He multiplied.)

@DavidHuieGreen - That’s actually an urban legend. Look it up — assuming you care whether or not what you say is true.

Atari, I care deeply, but about what, specificly? The number of fakes? People prey on the trusting, as Agnes has been showing. Just look at how folks at the DNC handed over information to strangers of Russian origin. Come to think of it, I’m very trusting, too

    .

    Night-Gaunt,

You have no reason to believe it wasn’t written down or that it was. He did not preach carpentry. His followers did not even bother to describe his appearance other than that His beard was yanked and that he looked so much like everybody else that they needed Judas to point Him out.

    .

Opposition to his teachings could have led to the deaths of any claiming to have known Him earlier.

    .

Many people hated His coming for changing the political power and social situation. They tried to wipe out all knowledge of His existence, ordered his followers to not speak of him, killed his followers, claimed that his message was turning the world upside down.

They had a vested interest in removing proof He ever existed.

    .

My brother and his son visited Ur and were shown the site “allegedly” Abraham’s original home. Consider how unlikely this is. Well over 470 years would have passed ere anyone knew much of anything about his family’s rise to power, fall from power, exodus from Egypt, cross the Jordan River. Plus Abram changed his name along the way.

    .

    .

By the way, it is not illegal to say something is alleged because you have not claimed it to be true, simply claimed that some unidentified someone made that claim.
