“See, you need to be able to cross your legs like this.”“I forget why, as that activity and comfy pants do not automatically go together.’

This is an improvement on advice. He usually gives him misinformation to mess with him. I like Opal reaction, like ‘Good grief’.

That’s the secret to a happy dog’s life. If it pants comfortably, then it’s happy.

If happiness was/were his goal and he achieved his goal, he is successful.

A good way to make his grandson happy and successful would be to read to him. Kids love it and they learn to associate reading with pleasant memories. Great way to build a smart, lifelong reader.

After my parents retired they volunteered by driving around people who needed transportation. One year their orginization had a presentation dinner for the 2 people in the orginization who’d contributed more than anyone else. The couple they were seated with kept bragging about how the dinner and award were obviously for them because of all the work they’d done, my parents just stayed quiet and let them brag. When the orginization president got up to make the presentation he talked about how the couple being recognized had contributed to people’s needs without complaint or bragging and the other couple got smugger with every word, until the president named the couple and it turned out to be my parents.
