Well, that just takes the cake. So would I but the ice cream is probably beyond recovery.

This appears to be ample justification to imbibe that cake and ice cream forthwith! He is correct about mom’s wishes in this case, AND he gets to eat more cake & ice cream. It’s a win-win!
