Ballard Street folks should never get involved in croquet with legs like those.

Notice that Spike attacked Walter out in the open.

He was never the sort of dog to beat around the bush.

Lucky it was the ankle. Next time Spike may choose to utilize the the only set of balls available. Talk about going through hoops.

Spike loves to play croquet. He and El Gato, my Watchcat, play ever chance they can.

Often they team up, to play against other neighborhood dogs and cats and occasionally, against poor unsuspecting humans.

    .

These guys take their lawn games seriously, and gamble on every wicket.

    .

Walter is just sore because he lost $200 last time he went up against Spike and El Gato, so he hid the croquet balls.

Spike is PO’d because Walter’s check bounced !

El Gato is ticked because Spike was so stupid, as to take a check from Walter in the first place, and now he’s got to wait for his cut, until Walter makes good.

    .

While Walter may now realize, that getting Spike upset wasn’t such a good idea, he has no clue how big a hurt El Gato can put on him !

    .

El Gato makes Spike look like a little pussy cat !

Don’t even ask Walter about the fate of the wickets.

Oh, Mist, harsh! Good thing Rose is such a good sport! I miss her (and Bev) in the West Coast jump on the comix, but, we all are getting more sleep!
