I am trying to order the book from my local library, but they don’t have it. I’ll have to go in and see if they can get it from another library in Ontario.
If it becomes impossible I may have to send you one. Left at 7 for the tranny shop for a new transmission pressure switch replacement, got out ten-thirty then drove all the way from south Denver north to the Medical Center of The Rockies at the U.S. 34 exit to see Ed. Was there from about 11:30 to 8. I ordered 6 books at the Barnes & Noble store near there. He will autograph Whisplicka’s copy. .

That last part you said hits it on the 50 penny head !
That last part you said “hits it on the 50 penny head” ! I have never heard that expression before.
The first part of your reply leads me to believe I may have been offensive. Did not mean to be if I was., I have Jewish relatives by marriage, and 2 very dear lifelong friends who are Jewish. I am Catholic.. I judge people by their hearts, nothing else.
Don’t exactly know the “penny” rating on a gutter nail but they are a good deal bigger than the usual carpentering variety. Dry, dear, you were not offensive ! Sorry if my cheeky humor, or whatever I said, throws you. I made mention to be informative not combative !
Lovely “warm” weather today – got all the way up into double digits! Twelve degrees above zero! The chill factor was still more around zero. Enough of winter! Bring on summer!
With the cold weather here, I finally finished knitting a hat that I had started a year or two ago then set aside and forgot about it. I came across it recently and decided I needed to finish it. I’ve worn it these past couple frigid cold days and that is a nice warm cap. I better keep it away from Lily though. I wouldn’t want her to shred it after I knitted my fingers to the bone making that thing! I don’t know how long it took from when I started it way back when, but I think finishing it over two days took around 6-7 hours.
Well, not much to report. Since i lost Richard there has not been as much need to use the van, at least not on a daily basis like i was. My bigest users has been a couple of nice little old ladies that have either needed a ride home from the hospital or rides two and from a Dr. appointment.
.
My biggest concern since winter has been the issue of mold and mildew. Since I’m not warming up the interior on a regular basis that is a real threat. That issue ruined the interior of a pickup truck that i used to have.
.
So, i decided that it was necessary to clean out the garage and make room for the van. The van itself was instrumental in making that happen. I used it to haul furniture that i have no need of or space for to the Habitat for Humanity retail store. And, boxes and boxes full of “stuff” to the Goodwill store, and a resale store that donates to the local Animal Shelter.
.
The van is now in the garage, and i have a small heater and a chemical de-humidifer in it. That should protect it from the humidity.
.
I have yet to put the “In Memoriam” in the back window. Its next. I have been working six and seven days a week, struggling to keep my hours up to 40, and working in the garage to find the time to get to a graphics shop. It will most likely be sometime in January.
I was just reading in the paper about the truck that crashed through a Christmas market in Berlin. I don’t know what part of Germany our friend, Marge lives in, but I hope she and her family are okay. Let us know you’re okay, Marge! Such an enormous tragedy for all those who were hurt and killed and for their families. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

This cat shows a tolerant look because he has just been dressed up and has to deal with a foolish human.

Gweedo, I know you have a quirky sense of humor and a way of phrasing things. That’s what makes you, “you”, in a good way of course! :-)
