Carnivores generally sleep more than herbivores. It may be it takes longer to digest meat and resting is best for this. It may be that the carnivores are conserving energy so they do not need to hunt as often. It may be the lower carb intake so they actually have less energy. Cats sleep more than dogs and also have protein as a higher percentage of their diet.
