Red and Rover by Brian Basset for January 06, 2017
Transcript:
Red: Dad phned and said he'll pay me double my allowance if I shovel the walk and driveway before he gets home from work. Naturally, I said yes, but I'm gonna wait for the snow to really accumulate before I venture outside. Rover: How come? Red: So I can renegotiate for a higher rate.

Sorry, Red. Since you agreed to the terms, the contract is established. And don’t forget. If you try to re-negotiate the snow removal job, Dad may decide to “re-negotiate” your regular allowance.

He should get out there and clear it all right away. Then when dad gets home negotiate for a second cleaning job at the same rate.
