How well did the key smith treat his Grampy Jimmie? Seems like to me he’s not treating his elders with respect.

At our Lowes they have a machine that you insert your key into and just say how many you want. Works great, and no witty banter is required with the Keymaster. The Gatekeeper is another story.

You get to an age when you just remind people younger that you of the poppaws and meemaws. Fact of life.

Some say increasing automation will free more of us to follow our dreams and to ‘put our intelligence and talents to their best use.’ They just assume that the careers many of us have chosen to follow aren’t our ‘best use.’ And that causes me to question their ‘best use.’

He died just after I made him a new key, hmmm.

I have run into men who reminded my of my dad; he died in 1999 but I consider it a compliment to tell folks that. Of course when you get to be our age everybody reminds us of somebody. Doogie Howser, for the most part.

So, he wouldn’t know his own grandfather??

Put the key up you know where, you inconsiderate moron!

The new site has dropped the heading and throw-away panel here and apparently in the month’s archived strips, maybe all strips? An “improvement” I’d rather not have.
