Navigation Tip: Instead of right clicking the strip title and opening in a new tab|window as we use to do, right click on the speech balloon and open in a new tab|window. This way you won’t have to reload your comic page when you want to go to another comic.
Screen Name/Avatar: Click on your Avatar (top of the screen to the right of SHOP) and select MY PROFILE and click EDIT. Then you change your display name and/or update your avatar. Note: Your display name will appear in all caps regardless of how you enter it.
Editing a comment: Until you refresh the page pressing Ctrl + Z in the comment box will re-display your comment so you can edit it and then repost it (then you can delete the previous one). Note this does not work when using Reply.

The ole Capt. was forced to the Tikireal early yesterday because of the “new” GC format ( which he finds a PIA and time consuming to navigate around ) .
.
I shall be holding the fort there, again today, I fear.
I happen to have this on very good authority that Douglas Handley’s distressing dilemma, is due to Darrell ( The Ditch Digger) Dalrymple’s decision to deposit his dug dirt directly down on Doug’s daisies !
.
Ever since Darrell started working for William “Wuzzy” Waistwater, at Willie’s Wells, Widgets, & Whatnots things have taken a turn for the worse.
Don’t get me wrong. Darrell’s a good worker but not very bright. He’s strong and can dig a hole faster than a backhoe…Problem is, he doesn’t like to put the dirt back in the same hole.
Throwing the loose loam on Handley’s lawn, is Darrell’s way of ditching the dirt.
I’m assuming each pile represents a different visit. Given the quantity of each deposit, I deduce that someone is working on their garden and instead of keeping the surplus soil for the next stage of the project, they are buying fresh soil for each stage and dumping the excess. I would question the Garden Supply Shoppe & Mini-Golf for leads on periodic potting purchases.
I’m in!! Been getting all kinds of “server errors” all morning (different ones for older and newer PC’s and Androids!) This is my first chance to post anything today! Guess I shouldn’t have been so forgiving of he new system yesterday.
SusanSunshine or x_tech – is there any way I don’t have to look at comics in my line-up that haven’t been updated? When they are in my line-up, I don’t know that they haven’t been updated and click on them every day.
Perkycat, the ones that haven’t updated don’t show up in my list. There is a note to that effect in the order that I set up my queue, with a link to the last strip.

@Dogsniff
When I refer to the speech balloon I mean the button below the comic that shows the “View the comments” tool tip when you hover your mouse on it.

That better not be the Higglepooders handiwork coming into Handley’s yard or there’ll be hell to pay.
SusanSunshine Premium Member almost 8 years ago
Liverlips…. the Higglepooders were …um…. heck-raisers in their day….
and widowed old Mrs. Higglepooder is known for her hubris, and for looking highly indignant half the time…
but I hardly expect to hear that she can handle a shovel without help.
I, myself, see the handiwork of those horrid Habners.
The whole clan are hicks.

Just for you Cleo and Company searchers….
Today’s strip can be found HERE:
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
Comments can be made on the Ballard Street strip for THIS DAY but 10 YEARS ago….
Jan 10th, 2007.
They’ve made navigation (and everything else ) on this site a little more difficult….
But you can go there in several ways…
Pick whatever is easiest for you…
You can click the little grey calendar next to today’s date in the box above the strip…
When the calendar opens, click the year in the date… you’ll see a little arrow to go back through the years…..
choose 2007…. click on January, then the 10th.
It sounds more complicated than it is….
Or for today, you can use this link:
http://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2007/01/10
Or, you can go up to the address bar and add the date you like to the URL….
ie:
Just manually change it to http://www.gocomics.com/ballardstreet/2007/01/10
See you there!

I think the Handley should thank their visitor for the free dirt. I don’t know where the expression “dirt cheap” started, be cause it ain’t.
As to the change on GC, I’m a free loader, so I won’t complain too much. Something tells me all this change is for the smart phone crowd.

it is not ‘dirt’ it is ‘soil’. Dirt is found on your clothing and hands, soil is what we use to grow vegetables….

My queue loaded today.

What i lust said, forget it.
Again, my comics won’t feed. I get,
“Inside every server there is an internal error, just waiting for its time to shine. This one’s ours. We vow to cease its infernal shining ASAP.”
where there should be a comic.
I don’t find it at all funny.
Is anyone seeing this post?
Is anyone else having this problem?
