And just a week and a half ago she was complaining that she and Earl don’t talk enough.

Seems reasonable…

Wife: do you like the blue sweater or the green sweater?Husband: I like the blue one better.Wife: Then I will buy the green one.

Talking to yourself is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes you can “think” an idea and it sounds pretty good inside your head, but when you open your mouth and let that idea out, you realize it doesn’t sound so great after all.

Talk to yourself; it’s the only way to make sure you have an intelligent conversation.

Earl, you’re really not very good at listening.

Another blow to the male ego. But at Earl’s age he’s probably good at sloughing them off.

Burn!

I talk to myself all the time. Especially when I’m in my bedroom.

It’s comforting.
