Well, it looks like Annie is back. But what GoComics has done here is take us back to the beginning of their archives. This strip first appeared on April 8, 2001. It was the first strip drawn by Alan Kupperberg. The writer was Jay Maeder, who started writing for Annie in June of 2000.

“Waltz me once again around the dance floor, and let the music move me ’round…” At least it (hopefully) isn’t selected comics only, as is the case with Lil’ Abner.
I really don’t want to wait 17 years to get back to the end of the story that was running in December. They could have gone back to the beginning after that.
Annie’s been rewound to the beginning of her web presence. I was just looking at this story line a couple days ago while I waited for ‘new’ stuff to show up.
