FYI: What we call corn is called maize every where else. Corn refers to a size of salt pieces. It is how we get “corned” beef from the salt used to cure it. When I was in the Peace Corps, the stores in town would get pig’s feet, pig’s tails, and salt pork packed in crates containing salt the size of corn kernels.
