I just discovered something fascinating about the new GC pages.
I wanted to check the original version of this strip because I felt there was a lack of continuity with yesterdayâs (I was wrong BTW).
And I found it. But at least at this time the image of the strip itself is broken:

This reveals that behind the strip there is a transcript of the strip itself!
Â
In case they fix the image, this is the transcript (taken from the HTML source code):
Satchel says, âAlright, boys? To the park!â Dog says, âItâs party time!â Dog says, âWhereâs the frisbee? Go get the frisbee, spooch.â Satchel says, âUh?no, Buckyâs asleep o the frisbee. To the park!â Dog says, âGotcha to the park!â Dog says, âWho is Bucky? Letâs go wake him up.â Dog says, âWhy are you looking at me like that? Is he big or something?â Dog says, ââBigâ? Fortunately, no. But if heâd made the height requirement, heâd be the 5th horseman.â Satchel says, âWar, death, famine and cat-hair-in-your-food! Ha ha! Wait, thatâs not funnyâŠâ
Â
This page also reveals the transcript:

The odd thing is that while all the Get Fuzzy strips from that time seem to have the transcripts embedded, their recent re-runs donât have it.
Thatâs a pity, because embedded transcripts could eventually mean that strips would be easier to find via Google and other search engines.
Hmm, just a few weeks ago I was complaining that I was about to quit the strip if they didnât go outside. How long has it been that they have been apartment bound?
It might be time for the carrot and stick approach on BuckyâŠ..chew on the carrot while you swing the stickâŠit worked with the dog who carried the baseball bat.

I guess Darby left out Pestilence (Disease) because he was running out of space for lettering?
