Pardon my ignorance, but isn’t a beaner an automatic walk?

Doesn’t look like he’s walking any time soon.

Today that would clear the dugouts. Maybe they’re still trying to get out of them.

And so the bean-rock was invented .

Please resist the temptation to over-think this comic strip. It’s more fun that way.

Why was/is this funny?

Why would someone want a guy named “Clumsy Carp” as their pitcher… although Clumsy was the only one who could make balls of water.

With those coke bottle glasses, he’s just wild enough to be effective, or deadly.
