Kind of sounds like the saying I quoted to my boss yesterday, “If you’re part of the problem you might as well be part of the solution.”

@WhiteHeron….. No, I’m happy, and relieved, with your answer… and yeah… Bev’s a brat.

You’re right…. we did a lot of that on the Street, and you should have seen Daddy’s Home. It was quite public, so no, you’re not overstepping anything if you riff on it.

She’s actually a good friend… obviously, or we couldn’t tease each other so mercilessly.

She’s friendly, and witty, and a lot of people miss her, except for a vocal few. We’re still in touch.

But last fall some bullies were trolling her and a couple of others… posting endless insults and complaints about them on certain strips.

In fact, one person, whom I’d previously thought was a nice guy, went on what I could only describe as a kamikaze mission, following her to perhaps a dozen strips in one night, to post the same nasty tirade about her on each.

He was flagged everywhere, and was banned… but was quite recently allowed back.

With Bev gone, he went straight to another forum where people post a lot of simple text links to pictures, as that’s all that’s allowed… and immediately started berating them …and got himself banned again, a few days ago.

Bev had left even before the current remodel, because she didn’t like the way they took away picture posting, disallowed formatting, etc, randomly and without notice.

But another of her concerns was their failure to answer her e-mails and address the trolling.

After the changes in October, some of them even gloated openly in the forums when she couldn’t post pictures… and again when she left.

To be honest, the reason I asked you what I did is just to be sure that you were teasing, as I thought, and not actually part of the anti-Bev crowd, whose motives I can’t understand.

Hard to tell on the internet, where you can’t see expressions or hear inflection.

I truly apologise for any alarm I caused.

Today’s analysis? Ms Plainwell got Frazz to do more than he planned. Seems to have worked too.
