Like the Oracle assistant said some time ago……“I don’t like this for the greater good.”Not unexpected…….think of the Donner party, the Shackleford Arctic journey. Sarah said it……just eggs only is not going to stave off the end.
OK. Where is all the tobacco coming from? They should have run out of that a long time before the creamed corn ever did. This is not to mention the al-q-hol.
It’s really astonishing how, after all that’s happened, people keep descending further and further into insanity. It’s crazy. I mean, I don’t exactly know how their food situation is but, man…
I’m kinda mystified. If the pigs are giving up their lives for the sake of food, then why isn’t this spreading to the other animals? There are ducks in End town (duck pate’ anyone?) and cows (milk and or steaks anyone?) as just two examples of this.
A couple of you have mentioned, and my first question was, where are the eggs coming from? And Aaron has some explaining to do: Just what are these people eating, anyway? Beans have run out and no one seems to be gardening or farming.
I have feared perhaps this arc was going to be used to “teach” us the evils of eating animals; after all, in this “reality,” all animals are people. BUT! One can be a vegetarian ONLY if there are vegetables to eat. As currently described, the only things left in the mutant colonies are the mutants themselves. _What else are they supposed to eat?_
As for my pet cause, that of size acceptance and ending the bullying of fat people, I take heart that the likely hero of this story will be the not-so-svelte Walt. I just hope that, other than the ham scam, Aaron keeps a lid on the dieting and weight loss elements of this story.
Let’s see… Birds and reptiles can produce eggs. Cows have always been a good source of milk. It’s so sad what happened to Holly. If not for that stupid Milk Trial, she’d still be making cheese.
What if only half of those gone missing actually became breakfast? I can’t imagine that much actual self sacrifice, but what if someone is paying off people to “provide” a suicide victim then both disappear; one to the breakfast table and the other living it up in an undisclosed location? Both bodies are gone and written of as suicides. Hmmm???

Where’d Doc Chase get the diploma on the wall from? It can’t be his, surely, given the way he came into Endtown…

Can’t wait to hear what Jacob Jackrabbit has to say about this. Mutant by-products is one thing, but cannibalism…?
