I think I would rather cross the street.

So the footstool shall be his world.

I do not wish to become embroiled in Larry’s embodiment especially as it isn’t embroidered.

Well…. Larry needed to be emboldened, because his last venture caused so many misunderstandings

that he’s refrained from sidewalk entrepreneurship for the last two years.

Back then, he was so intrigued by the history of his bed pillow….

though not as decorative as his footstool,

he’d had it since he was four, and the feathers came from his grandmother’s own chickens….

that he’d set it up on a very similar card table….

with a very innocent sign that said

“Ask Me for Some Pillow Talk….

    Special Hours by Appointment."

Phyllis Doerninger made an appointment for a rather odd hour…..

apparently thinking he meant something entirely outside his intention….

And not only did her husband unexpectedly come back from Cleveland right after he arrived…

and rip up the precious pillow, and throw Larry out, before he’d even figured out what she wanted….

But word got back to his wife, Georgina…..

    Who was similarly not amused.

In fact, this pink footstool, in case you wondered, used to match the couch and chair….

But,,, sigh…. Georgina took those with her when she left.

I’d rather walk down a parallel street.

LINGUIST LESS THAN A MINUTE AGOI have learned to avoid walking down Larry’s block when in town.

Too often, I have been treated to a lengthy treatise of whatever current fancy has decided to inhabit the attic of Larry’s mind.

It is bad enough, when he decides to hold forth at the Tiki, after he’s fortified himself with several ’nanner daqs, but on his own astroturf, he can go on, and on, and on, and……zzzzzzzzzzzzz!

There are times when Larry doesn’t process data in a quiet way.

    AHOY BALLARDEERS !

As some of you may know, today kicks off Carnaval in my little patch of paradise, away from Ballard Street. The festivities, especially along the coast, include water – either the beach or plastic pools, plus loads of super-soakers and squirt guns, – lots of spray cans of silly string and other noxious plastic confetti – mucho music, great food and copious amounts of liquid refreshments.

Needless To Say, the ole Capt. is going to hoist anchor and set sail from Ballard Bay on my galleon The Irish Rover® had head south to Machala, Ecuador- The Banana Capital of the World !

I probably won’t be back commenting until Ash Wednesday.

So if you don’t see any posts form me, don’t panic. The GocComic Overlords haven’t banned me ( yet ). I’m just going to ( as my friends in The Big Easy say ) Laissez le bon temps rouler !

    See you next week !

If your footstool is too firm, do you need a stool softener?
