Some “geniuses” were trying to get the Bears to trade for Garoppolo a few weeks ago.Nothing can help the Bears until the wretched & incompetent McCaskey Family sells the team!
The Pats wont let Garoppolo go. They know what they’ve got and they can afford to keep a young, highly touted, young quarterback as heir apparent to a 40 year phenomenon, who so far has dodged the bullets of age and injuries.
So Garoppolo will stay in Boston…unless some team, with ridiculous amounts of money to burn, draft picks and trades to give away, and an absolute desperation, are willing to hock their liver and sacrifice their first born sons for him.
"Hello ? …San Francisco calling ?…. Cleveland on the line ? …Chicago and Houston are holding to speak to Mr. Belichick ? … "
I don’t follow the Pats very closely, but couldn’t Garoppolo just be the next Matt Cassel? QBs do tend to look good in Belichick’s offense, but it doesn’t always translate outside the system.
Garoppolo may or may not be the next Big Thing QB. Backups have played well for Belichick because of the superb coaching staff and the meticulous preparation. On other teams, not so much.
