The hat looks like it’s made of Nancy’s haircut clippings. Also, this strip reminds me of the old claim that Bushmiller eventually just made a bunch of generic rubber stamps so he didn’t have to draw new panels every day. In the first three, he’d just re-stamp the same image of Nancy and Sluggo, only having to redraw (or add in) different mouths and left arms for Nancy.
Wow….I never heard that but it looks like there might be something to it. Even the pattern on Nancy’s dress and the blades of grass (exceping to the right of Sluggo) are identical in all three. That wouldn’t be easy to do!

I have a friend who once posted to Facebook a photo of himself with a plunger on his head, as in the last panel. Goofy, but fun.
