What I really like about this particular strip, is that it shows that Hispanics are not some weird economic underclass, or (as the strips from a week or two ago suggested) an oppressed minority. Rather, they’re firmly embedded in mainstream, middle-class US society. Just like the Czech-Americans that I’m descended from.
