An LBD would be too much on a Memorial Day weekend. A summer dress on warm May night as California slides into the Pacific would be far more apropos.

Small, low-budget film, well worth seeking out, is Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

Shouldn’t they be cleaning out the bank account and maxing the credit cards? Ordering ridiculously expensive wine and so on?

Death in Malibu…somehow that doesn’t sound so bad.

Doesn’t matter what you are wearing at the time if they can find you your clothes will be cut away so that your naked body been seen in all its demolished state and then maybe fixed up to be dressed again for burial.

In Terry Pratchett’s first novel (The Color of Magic) a fortune teller forsees a large fire in the city and her own death so she quickly sells her house, loads all her belongings in a wagon, and takes off for the next city. The fire happens and there’s a lot of damage to buildings but no one is killed, except for the fortune teller who’s caught in an avelanch while she’s driving her wagon across a mountain pass.

Its always good to have a plan.
