There is no way a husband can perform a household function and not fail to meet his wife’s expectations. Also, if you don’t do it you are wrong. Pretend you are not there, Arlo.
I learned long ago that when clothes are not hung up the way I do it, they still get dry. Dishes put in the machine in a different arrangement will still get clean. The clothes can get folded any way at all as long as they fit in the drawer.
HOWEVER, Hubby is not to be trusted to put things in the dryer. He sets it on high and cranks the knob around to an hour, no matter what he has in there, or how many times I’ve shown him.
They’ve been married for some time and must have their routines down, why does he feel guilty? And those uber feminists jumping on him assume he doesn’t contribute anything? Do you really think someone as strong as Janis would let that exist? I know it’s just a comic but there is always truth behind every joke.

No, he’ll fold them all wrong and she’ll have to do them over!

Just drink your coffee in peace and don’t sweat the natural order of things.

Why doesn’t he just do something on his own?

I’d say that’s an “after fun” washing…

They don’t call it “Sweating up the sheets” for nothing.

My wife of 54 years showed me this cartoon this morning. I have no guilt, I carry the laundry basket down the basement steps for her.

My husband took over the laundry when he retired and I was still working. That was 20 years ago and he is still doing it! Bless him!
