HS kids do preform well at spelling and geography bees, but are not well socialized with their peers.With the advent of computers and the internet, I can foresee Home Schooling as the future of Public Schools, seeing as how public schools are doing such a crappy job of teaching the future of the country. I don’t think this is meant as a criticism of homeschooling. The boy is schooled at home, without classmates, and is therefore the only one in his class.
I’m pretty sure the point of it was that he was the only one in his class, not a statement for or against home education. It’s a cute kid joke/observation.
