Now that is empathy.

Mom and Dad taught her right. Whenever I start to have a pity party I tell myself how lucky I am to be in perfect health at sixty while millions younger than me have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. Brings things into perspective real fast.

Quite a profound statement for a little girl. Yes, we should ALL remember this.
