I still don’t know what “post-truth” is supposed to mean. But I do know that Obama’s election in 2008 was supposed to usher in the “post-racial” era. What actually happened, of course, is that racism became even more mainstream. Racists became more open and “out there”. Maybe the same thing will happen with “truth” in the “post-truth” era.

Betty, ask this person for the money she has on her. Why? According to this ‘post-truth’ nonsense, its your money, because you say it is your money. If she refuses then she is a hypocrite and fool like every other person that yammers on about ‘post-truth’. Now, back to more important things, like reading comics!

Though “My unsubstantiated/unverifiable/baseless opinions/feelings/beliefs trump your facts! Always!” is hardly new.

“As a political candidate, I will go with how people feel and leave you to the theoreticians.” Newt Gingrich speaking with a reporter stating that her “views” on crime statistics (fact) were not important as people’s perception (alt fact).

“I reject your reality and substitute my own…”

We have always been at war with EastAsia.

A lie is a lie. No matter what you call it.

Oh, and btw, I forget Betty’s friend’s name (Liz?) but her casual acceptance of this dishonesty / mental illness nauseates me.
