It’s a “space/time continuum” sort of thing.

It’s “The Most Pointless ‘Improvement’” sort of thing. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Just put in like and dislike buttons if you want to go that general route.

Your top comment helps sometimes, but if another comment gets more replies, that one then becomes the “featured comment.”

So, when that has happened on a strip where you have done your “throwaway” comment, I have added more replies to your comment to force it to be the “featured comment.”

I have tried being an adult, and it’s just not working out to well for me.

I love how they’re starting to grow older in the second-to-last panel!
