I think any cartoon that shows a parent regretting summer vacation or teachers dancing on the last day of school, sends the wrong message, big time. If you don’t want kids, don’t have them.
Suggestion. Do not take a cartoon literally. I see this as a comic expression of what all parents have moments of wishing for. A good parent would never use such a magic potion, but that doesn’t change the fact it’s a passing wish.
Son Block is a bit too much. I preferred the simple Cone of Silence from time to time. I jest, my kids were encouraged to make noise. Now my grandkids are making the noise, and it’s just fine with me.

In the final frame, she appears to have turned and set her feet down on either side of the bottle.

So to her he is no more. He exists but not to her now.

Way more sad than funny…
In 20 years she’ll wish she could wash it off… and that he were still a little boy she could watch…
But he still won’t be able to see through it, not even in 60 years,
when she’s in assisted living, wondering where he went.

For everyone who is taking this seriously, I have two questions:
1. You do realize real sun blockers don’t last long, do you?
2. If you’re so serious, why are you reading comics?

She actually did look at him after Panel 2 but decided to go back to her book until after the “thinking” icon disappeared from view.

The moms I see don’t need Son Block. Their cell phones are all they need to ignore their poor kids…
