I donât give my cats canned food often, but they get it now and then as a treat. And they do know the sound of the can opener. But they also come running if Iâm opening a can of peaches or green beans. Then I feel bad for fooling them.
My wife says the cats want me to be their full time cook. When we have leftover fish, or last night veal, she divides it between them for breakfast instead of canned food. I wipe the sauces off but they still have the flavor and they seem to like it better than plain.
Our neighbor was chatting with us when he took a step, stumbled in a rock, fell and broke his tooth! His wife got the cast on her arm removed yesterday, she was out for a run and tripped on the sidewalk!
They are planning on never going outside ever again!
The can opener whir has been replaced by the tab click !
Hellllooooo cat naybas !
Glad things are less gloomy now, LROS !
Went to supper at Sweet Tomatoes, at the âtop endâ of Phoenix earlier. Some other Michigan friends of Whisplickaâs met the four of us (inlcs. our hosting couple) there. Lot of X-caped âlawnsâ here and not quite the searing heat today and will be cooler this weekend.
Sad weekend at my house. I had to bury my 16 yr old Bengal yesterday. Now I donât have anybody to take showers with. He rarely left my bed either. I had to put him down Friday because almost overnight a huge tumor bulged out of both sides of his belly and he could barely walk within 8 hours of it showing up. I brought him home from the vet so the other 4 cats could see that there friend had passed but I didnât expect that the dog would be the one to mourn the most. He kept trying to wake the cat. It broke my heart to see it. Just have to love on the other 4 and the dog that much more now.
My kitty, named Tabby, who turns 12 this month canât keep any cat food down, either canned or dry. Finally, in desperation I took him to the vet who recommended Science Diet. Itâs expensive but it solved the problem. It is cheaper at Rural King than at PetSmart and Tabby supplements it by begging a "_tuna tax_ whenever we open a pouch of tuna to make tuna salad or tuna casserole.
From Pics That Prove Cats Are the Most Dramatic Animals on Earth: #8: some kitties use a scratching post, and some, like this cat, LOVE their scratching â a lot!
From Pics That Prove Cats Are the Most Dramatic Animals on Earth: #11: from his perch high up next to the top of the door, you cat waits on you. Wonder what he has in store for you?
From Pics That Prove Cats Are the Most Dramatic Animals on Earth: #12: these cats carry on their relationship in the animal shelter cages as best they can â a love story.
We had a little excitement in the store today. A baby bunny was running loose in our garden center. It is not unusual for them to be running around outside among our plants, but this baby bunny was (and still is) inside the store. It seems it got inside in the back by receiving and it has been living and running around in the store for a couple weeks. But I spotted it for the first time today. He (or she) is looking a little thin. I donât know what the bunny has been doing for food and water. We tried to chase it out the doors and it almost ran out the door when a customer walked in and scared it off. We had a lot of customers watching our vain attempts to catch or chase the bunny outside. People tried to get pictures of the bunny, but it was too fast for them. They gave up and had to call someone in to set a couple live traps to try to catch and release the little bugger.
